Review: Origin

Pia is immortal.

She lives at a place called Little Cambridge in a secluded area in the Amazon Rainforest. She is not allowed outside the gates of Little Cam. She knows nothing of the outside world. What she does know is that the scientists here created her and, once she passes all the tests, she will become one of them and create more like her. More immortals. This is her dream. But on her seventeenth birthday, she finds a hole in the fence. She realizes she yearns for freedom, and sneaks out. She meets a boy from a native tribe and continues to sneak out to see him. They discover the truth about Pia’s origin, a truth that may destroy her and her perfect little world.

I really liked this book. It was full of surprises and secrets hid around every turn. The more I read the more I became engrossed with the story.
