So – How to Lead a Life of Crime reminded me a lot of Dark Eyes by William Ritcher  and I absolutely loved it! This new Miller book was filled with mystery, New York City secrets, and lots more new, fun characters.

Flick is a main character that is quite refreshing. First of all, he’s a boy, something rare but totally awesome in YA, and he has a very sarcastic sense of humor, which I adore. He has a lot of flaws, and one of my favorite things about his story is that you don’t learn everything about him until the very end of the book, and finally his entire story is revealed. I love this element in any book!

The plot was… AHHH IT WAS AWESOME. Filled with suspense, mystery, some good villains  and really creepy basements that are actually science labs. The Mandel Academy is the perfect place for a whole bunch of villains and a ton of secrets to convene, and Flick’s main goal is to figure out how to shut the place down once he discovers some not so nice secrets.

I highly, highly recommend this book! It’s hilarious at times, action-packed, has a tad bit of romance, and a whole lot of awesome.
