Review: Sylo

“Something strange is going on on Pemberwick Island. Sure Tucker Pierce can stomach the mysterious disease that seems to kill no one (the President himself said that was true). He can stomach the military parking itself basically on his front lawn (Duh, it is a quarantine). He can even stomach complete removal of all ways to leave the island, and a militarily enforced curfew. What he cannot stomach is the strange ships exploding over the ocean, being cut off from the outside with military grade precision, and a strange new super steroid called the Ruby that seems cause more harm than this mysterious virus. Tucker, with his old friend Quinn, decide to find out. What is going on? This journey will take them across the island, and into the new military base. However, before it is over, this journey may become less about finding out the truth, but more about finding a way out. How do we escape? I really enjoyed SYLO. It was fast-paced, well written, and every new answer gave you more questions. Whys become Whats that become Whys again before you even notice. It really is the perfect book for a rainy afternoon.”
