Don’t Look Back is about a young girl, Sam, who disappears one night with her best friend, Cassie. Sam resurfaces but she has no memory of her past. As she tries to piece her life back together, she realizes she didn’t like the person she was. Cassie is still missing and Sam tries desperately to remember the night they disappeared.
Don’t Look Back is a psychological thrill ride. It’s a book that is solely based on suspense. Though there is romance and some comedy. Don’t Look Back is different because it touches on subjects that are difficult to illustrate through words, like mental illness and memory loss. This book intrigued me the second I laid eyes on it. The cover catches your attention and the book holds it. I really enjoyed this book. The plot has a lot of twists and turns in it. Anyone and everyone is a suspect in the disappearance of Sam and Cassie. With an ending that will leave you reeling, Don’t Look Back is a very successful stand alone novel. If you like suspense, drama, and angst with a little romance, Don’t Look Back is definitely the book you should be reading.
