Vampire Academy Lives on!

Lets face it. The Vampire Academy movie didn’t do so well in the box office and movie number two was not an option. Since then, fans have rallied together to make sure the show goes on and that the fans really need Frostbite on the big screen.  Frostbite is in production but the producers want to see an increase in fan following and attract new readers for the fandom.

Obituary: Walter Dean Myers

It was a sad week for readers when we heard the news of the passing of Walter Dean Myers. Walter Dean Myers wrote over 100 books, won many prestigious awards, served as the National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature, and accomplished much over the course of his life. Many of his books are well loved and have been used in schools for many years.  His books reflect the lives of teenagers and young people, and never shy away from tough topics such as war and crime. We are looking forward to reading his next two books to be published posthumously – On a Clear Day (September 2014), and Juba! (April 2015). His voice will be missed.

Monstrumologist Movie?

Yup, another possible movie based on a Rick Yancey is in the works! It was reported that the series has optioned by Warner Bros. and the script to be done by Jessica Postigo, the screen writer of Mortal Instruments: the City of Bones the film adaptation. With an amazing story by Rick and this kind of backing from Warner Bros., this might be a great adaption from book to film!
