The Last Boy and Girl in the World is an incredible book filled with adventure, romance, and drama, but that is inspired by true events.

Aberdeen, a small town, is sliding underwater. And there’s no way to stop it. The sheriff is ordering citizens out of the town, houses are being flooded, the whole town is in chaos. Teens are partying in abandoned buildings, people are fleeing what they called home. However, there’s only one thing Keeley Hewitt is focusing on: getting together with the boy she’s loved forever.

But caring so much about her love life can change things, especially when she isn’t paying attention. Her friends aren’t her friends anymore, and it doesn’t seem like her parents care anymore. Her dad is determined to stop the sheriff and knows he will find a way to stay in Aberdeen. Her mom just doesn’t have any hope, and her friends seem to have disappeared. Things are happening and things are changing, and nobody seems to know what to do or how to stop them.

So the only person Keeley has left is Jesse. Jesse, who parties in abandoned houses. Jesse, who truly cares about his family. Jesse, who Keeley loves, but has to ask herself if everything will work out with the boy she’s loved forever.

The Last Boy and Girl in the World is incredible, and it has everything I ever could have asked for in a book. It’s beautifully written, the characters are awesome, and the overall story is amazing. It’s a great read for summer, with a little bit of everything included. Siobhan Vivian has done it again, and I am extremely impressed. Get ready to watch a love story happen, and get ready to be in love with this book.
