James Patterson and Emily Raymond

If I could use any one word to describe this book, it would be “charming”. The characters are hilarious, the plot is stellar, and the writing is superb (although with Patterson, that’s not surprising). In fact, the only thing I didn’t enjoy was the twist ending that came straight out of left field. The ending itself was amazing (much like most of the book), but the events leading up to it are barely connected to the main plot. I’m not going to give anything away, but I’d definitely recommend this book to any young adult looking for a modern Holmesian detective novel, and once it comes out, I’d advise you to take a look.
